In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as "Regulation"), this page describes the processing methods for the personal data of users subscribed to newsletters from the University of Verona (hereinafter referred to as the "University").
The University's newsletters are published on the University's institutional websites and distributed via e-mail — automatically and free of charge — to those who request it by completing the relevant online forms.

PURPOSE AND LEGAL BASIS OF THE PROCESSING
The personal data of users subscribed to the newsletters are processed in order to manage, monitor, and ensure the proper delivery of the newsletter service provided by the University through its websites.
Data may also be processed to obtain statistical information useful for improving the functionality of the site and the newsletter service.
The legal basis for the processing is the consent of the data subject. Such consent is expressed by ticking the appropriate checkbox on the site and is necessary to use the service.
The consent given can be revoked at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each newsletter.
PROCESSING METHODS
The data provided may be used with IT and telematic tools solely for the purpose of providing the requested service and, for this reason, will be stored only for the period in which the service is active.
TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED
The data processed includes personal information provided by users when filling out the specific online form, such as:

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Data subjects have the right to obtain from the University, where applicable, access to their personal data and the rectification or erasure of the same, or the restriction of the processing concerning them, or to object to processing (Articles 15 and following of the Regulation).
Pursuant to Article 7 of the Regulation, data subjects may also exercise their right to withdraw their consent at any time (in the manner indicated above). Such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

Data subjects who believe that the processing of personal data relating to them, as carried out through this site, is in violation of the Regulation, have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Article 77 of the Regulation) or to pursue appropriate legal action (Article 79 of the Regulation).
