Our
project

In the coming years, Veneto companies and public administrations will have to face the challenge of adopting the Circular Economy in an innovative way, extending it to the entire supply chain and business models, rather than limiting it to individual organizations.

The Departmental Center for Research and Innovation on Circular Economy Issues - LOOP Research Center - was conceived as a place of scientific study to activate, develop and support the updating of professional, operational and managerial skills, aiming to improve the competitiveness of Veneto companies and the public system in the context of new economic paradigms.

The center was developed thanks to the support of Regione del Veneto, with regional decree DGR No. 1000/2023.

The Loop Research Center focuses on scientific research and the development of circular business models, aiming to optimize resource use and reduce waste and emissions through new strategies. At the same time, it organizes workshops and seminars to disseminate innovative practices of the Circular Economy, aiming to train businesses and public administrations.

Objectives
of the Center

  • The creation of best practices and the revision of business processes that enable the closing, slowing, intensifying, narrowing, and dematerializing of resource cycles, minimizing their use and the production of emissions and waste.
  • The dissemination and transfer of knowledge and innovative practices to businesses and public administration systems through the organization of thematic workshops and informational seminars aimed at upskilling and reskilling in innovative Circular Economy practices.

Development
and Support

  • A clearly identifiable and permanent interface between researchers, businesses, and local authorities.
  • Rigorous scientific research with the necessary resources to make it internationally competitive and to transfer excellent results to businesses.
  • The creation of learning and engagement spaces for businesses and students, as well as spaces for developing and participating in scientific ideas/projects to foster an ecosystem of skills, scientific applications, and knowledge transfer.
